[xdebug-general] are trace_format "1" and collect_params "3" mutually exclusive?

With trace_format set to "0" (human-formatted), setting
collect_params to "3" is showing me the function arguments as I
desire. However I don't see function arguments in my "computer-
formatted" trace with trace_format set to "1".

Is this by design? Or could it be my configuration/platform: Solaris
10, PHP 5.2.4, Xdebug 2.0?
